Our Programs

2MBS-FM broadcasts 24 hours a day 7 days week, across the greater Sydney metropolitan region and around the world via the internet. Our programming covers the broad spectrum of Classical music, from Early Sacred, through the Renaissance and Baroque to the Classical, Romantic and 20th century comopositions. We also have at least an hour of Jazz every day of the week and 3 hours of Contemporary music from midnight on weeknights. On weekends we also have speciality Folk and World music programs. New Programs beginning in July:

A Field of Tall Poppies
A monthly program on the third Sunday at 6.00pm of recordings released on the Tall Poppies label

Program broadcast date and time changes:

Early Music to Baroque
This becomes a twice-monthly program on the first and third Sundays at 11.30am.

At the Ballet
This program returns from a ‘rest’ to become a twice-monthly program on second and fourth Sundays at 11.30am.

Classical Guitar Society
The monthly program moves from Saturday to the first Sunday of the month at 7pm.

Historic Recordings
This moves from Sunday to Saturday on the second week at 3.30pm.

Music at St James
Details of concerts at the Church of St James in King Street, Sydney, may be heard on the second Saturday at 4.30pm.

The Wacky World of Music
This is now a regular monthly program at 12noon on the second Sunday of the month.
