2010 WSOC – 2MBS-FM Young Composers Award

In association with the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra and Choir, APRA and The Fellowship of Australian Composers, 2MBS-FM is proud to support a new generation of Australian composers with the WSOC – 2MBS-FM Young Composers Award.

• Entries will not be accepted after Tuesday 1st  June 2010.
• All entrants must be born on or after the 1 January 1980.
• The selected entry for the 2010 WSOC – 2MBS-FM Young Composers Award will receive a cash prize of $2,000.00 and a performance.
• The selected entry for the APRA Encouragement Award will receive $500 without a performance.
• The selected entry for the Fellowship of Australian Composers Encouragement Award will receive $500 without a performance.
• The world premiere performance of the selected composition will take place on Sunday 18th July at 3pm.
• The work will be performed by the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra and recorded by 2MBS-FM 102.5.
