All Day Concert

This month sees the start of a new broadcasting idea. All Day Concert each Monday will last all day, or virtually all day, from 10 am until the beginning of Keeping you Company at 4 pm. On this day it will replace Morning Concert and other programs of varying styles. The All Day Concert presentation of six hours of continuous music is an innovative programming idea with each concert having a theme. The music played will relate to some central idea or concept. One day it may be associated with a particular country; the next with a particular human experience or emotion; on another occasion it may spring from thoughts of chamber and instrumental works. Rather than being played as a series of separate programs or recitals, the concert will take a coherent form which we hope will involve, even excite and inspire, you, the listener.
