Nathalie Stutzmann is regarded as one of the most remarkable musical personalities of our time and one of a few genuine contralto voices. On her new CD she interprets not only with her outstanding Vivaldi contralto arias, but also acts as a conductor. In 2009, she founded her own chamber orchestra, Orfeo 55, an ensemble that plays both baroque and modern instruments.

Pianist Francesco Tristano may be considered to be one of the new generation of musicians who do not belong to any established school of performance.
