Tedeschi and North Sydney Symphony Orchestra
It is with the greatest of pleasure that we announce that the celebrated concert pianist SIMON TEDESCHI will be joining North Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the magnificent Smith Auditorium at Shore School Blue Street North Sydney at 8.00pm on Saturday 26 May. Simon Tedeschi is often described by critics and musical peers as one of the finest artists of his generation. Simon will be performing Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue and Mozart's Piano Concerto no 21, Movement 2. The program will be introduced by radio presenter Marian Arnold.

Band Together For Africa Benefit Concert           
Raising funds to build a school in Sierra Leone, West Africa
35 of the best players from community and Salvation Army bands in NSW and Queensland are banding together as the Sydney TopBrass Band for one performance only. The world-famous International Staff Band’s Bandmaster Stephen Cobb has accepted the invitation to travel from London to be guest conductor at the benefit concert. American composer Bill Broughton, now residing in Adelaide, has been commissioned to write a new brass band piece which will be premiered at the BTFA June 9 concert.   Bill has captured the Auburn-2-Africa spirit by writing piece for didgeredoo, trombone and band using the theme of the popular Toto hit, Africa.
